When Li arrived in the United States, she met Jane & Mike, who were reaching the nations living & working in their city. They reached out and initiated an unconditional friendship with Li.
Li had never known any Christians in her home country where Christian faith is severely restricted, but Jane & Mike invited her to join a bible discovery group. She began building a friendship with them, and learning about Jesus for the first time in her life.
She felt safe to share both times of weeping and of joy. Li said she believed that the kindness she experienced was because her new friends were seeking to live their lives like Jesus.
