A little more about us…. The vision of Global City Mission is to enable disciple making initiatives in global cities around the world, starting in North America. To pursue this vision, we take a comprehensive approach: We are sending cross-cultural missionaries for grassroots evangelism & church planting. We are helping equipping believers to grow as respresentatives of Christ, and we helping churches mobilize their members to reach their city.
Several factors are converging to change the context of global missions throughout the world, both in North America and around the globe. For the first time in history the majority of people on our planet lives in cities. The world map is a “connect the dots” of metropolitan areas around the world. People are more connected and more mobile than ever before through modern transportation and technology. The 21st century is experiencing the largest global migration in the history of the world. Jesus said to go to all nations, and now we have the opportunity to reach the nations next door. And while cities host increasing global diversity, one of the fastest growing religious demographics in North America is the non-religious. The landscape for global mission has been experiencing seismic shifts. Global City Mission exists as a mission agency to address these ongoing realities. We are making disciples at the world’s crossroads.

Mobilizing Missionaries as Catalysts in Global Cities
If you are passionate about reaching the nations for Christ, you may consider serving as a Mission Catalyst. Every week, Mission Catalysts share the message of the Gospel with those who have not yet heard or have not yet committed themselves to following Jesus. Throughout the week, people from every continent around the world living & work in global cities are hearing the good news about Jesus. Missionary catalysts are forming cross-cultural friendships, communicating the good news about Jesus, and forming relationships around grassroots discipleship.
As a missionary, you get to pursue compassionately communicating the gospel in global cities with the goal of making disciples and planting faith communities. You work to find people who are receptive to learning & growing through learning God’s word and encountering Jesus. Mission Catalysts intentionally start groups that are simple and reproducible. By planting discovery groups, house churches, and similar micro expressions, you are applying strategies that new believers can reproduce — whether locally or around the world. Coaching Believers to Become Disciple Makers
Do you want to reach people in your community? In many cities, there is a missionary force waiting to be released. Many followers of Jesus desire to make a difference for God’s Kingdom but are not sure where to begin. You may be active in their faith but struggle to take those first steps. For many, cultural barriers can discourage believers from seeking to form relationships with their neighbor or coworker. In some instances, Christian leaders have a vision for sending believers on mission but they need help turning that vision into reality. Global City Mission seeks to coach believers to make disciples of Christ through reaching out to friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and bridging to other nearby cultural groups. Through modeling, coaching, and/or training, Global City Mission works to disciples like you to make disciples and start new discipleship communities right where you are.
Equipping Churches to Reach their Communities
If you are a leader in a church, Global City Mission can help mobilize your members. Jesus commanded his followers to make disciples among all peoples. However, in the United States the average church growth through evangelism is only 4-5%. Part of our strategy is to help you to equip your members to represent Christ in their day-to-day life. One of the challenges facing the church today is reaching people in diverse & rapidly changing cities, and the culture around us has changed rapidly. Global City Mission is helping to navigate these challenges and offers equipping for local churches in healthy evangelism practices. Our team is dedicated to working alongside existing churches to unleash the gospel in increasingly diverse communities.
