This year’s Ramadan is April 13 to May 12. This is a time when Muslims fast from dawn to dusk. Ramadan is an excellent time for us to pray for our Muslim friends and neighbors. Whether Bosnians in Florida, West Africans in Pennsylvania, Somalis in Georgia, Arabs in Texas, or Kurds in Nashville, this is a good time to remember to pray for our Muslim neighbors to encounter the King of kings, Jesus the Lord.
During Ramadan, Laylat-al-Qadr, the Night of Power or Night of Destiny, in 2021 falls on May 8. This is an extra special night on the Muslim calendar, and it is a time when many Muslims may be more open to receiving messages through dreams & visions. And today there are numerous stories of Muslim-background-believers in the Middle East & Africa who came to follow Jesus after the Lord appeared to them in a dream or vision. This is happening today, and it has happened many times and in different regions. God has been at work in these nations.
We are inviting friends, partners, and mission-minded believers to gather virtually to pray for Muslims in our cities. We will pray that the Holy Spirit moves in the harvest in power to reveal the Lord Jesus to Muslim friends & neighbors who live & in work here in U.S. cities. We desire to pray asking Jesus to clearly appear to Muslims in our cities during the Night of Power. We will pray that the true power of the gospel of Christ is revealed.
