“I wanted to thank you again for the time and conversation we have spent. It was very encouraging for me and helped me to think through some of those ideas about evangelism. I have begun following your advice; I started my very first evangelistic bible study in a little over 10 years of ministry. I think it is a little sad that I was able to move up the ladder so to speak in ministry without ever talking about faith with someone that does not already have faith.”
He went on to explain that a young man present for the first study was so excited about what he had learned that he went to family members and began sharing with them. He then encouraged his family, made up of atheists & other non-believers, to start a new bible study together.
If we allow people to discover the story of Jesus in an attitude of discovery, once cold hearts can be warmed by the gospel of grace. Also the amazing thing is I will probably never meet these people in the new group, and they will never know GCMI was the catalyst for their close interaction with Jesus. That doesn’t matter. What matters is people meeting Jesus who offers new life. Please join with me in prayer for this family and for this minister who has just been re-activated to engage the harvest in Los Angeles.
